Meet The Eich Team
|

With a
field crew of five carpenters, led by two job superintendents
and supported by an office staff of three, Bill Eich
Construction personnel boast over 200 years worth of building
experience. And with 75% of those years being exclusively with
Bill Eich Construction, it’s easy to see why the company has
prospered through good times and bad. Their people are loyal to
their company, and dedicated to delivering quality service to
their clients.

Bill Eich,
President
Bill Eich, company president, started out in the construction
industry when he was five years old putting door locks on for his
father. Bill worked for his father as a laborer and carpenter
while he was going to grade school, junior high school, high
school and college. After graduating from Iowa State University
with a degree in Construction Engineering in 1972, he worked for
two years as a field engineer for a large commercial contractor in
Omaha, before forming Bill Eich Construction Company of Spirit
Lake in 1974. Bill has traveled extensively providing technical
seminars for builders across the United States, including
Alaska, as well as in Canada and China.
His expertise in
energy efficiency, moisture control, and indoor air quality have
resulted in consulting work with the U.S. Department of Energy,
the Iowa Energy Policy Council, and the Sustainable Building
Industry Council. Bill continues to be a leader in the building
industry both locally and nationally, and strives to ever
improve the company’s standards, by learning from the best
builders in North America.

Mike Peschon,
Production Supervisor
Mike Peschon has been with
Bill Eich as a laborer since 1977 and worked his way up through
the ranks from carpenter to lead man to his present position.
Mike enjoys structural framing most, and is quick to tackle some
of the most complex dual pitch roof systems as well as the
vaulted and coffered ceilings, and the unique framing details
that are required to make the finishing products fit true to
perfection. If the structural frame isn’t right, all the custom
woodwork and cabinetry in the world won’t make a project look
good. Mike gets the framework right. Mike and his wife
live in Spirit Lake with their three children, Jodi, Mitchell,
and Olivia. In his spare time Mike is
an avid treasure hunter with his metal detector and enjoys
running.

multi-family condominium projects. Mark also coordinates
all the field crew. Mark referees wrestling matches in his spare
time and enjoys a wide variety of outdoor sports including
hunting, bow hunting, and fishing. Occasionally he takes a
little time off to do some professional fishing guide services.
(Does it really count as guiding when you go fishing with your
friends??) Mark and his wife have three children, Chris,
Eric, and Alex.

Teamwork
Mike and Mark work closely with
Shelly to coordinate their projects. They compile information
unique to their jobs and clients needs. Orders, deliveries,
schedules, sub-contractors and jobsite supervision are taken
care of through their leadership. They may also suggest a plan
change, in the field, when they feel it is in the clients best
interest and can improve a design.
