How We Work With You
At Bill Eich Construction we
believe that excellence in building is the product of a collaborative
relationship between our clients and
our team of professionals. Our job is to interpret and give structure
to your vision. We do this through a process called
Design/Build. Here's
how it works:
Consultation
When you come to us with a project idea, we
first offer a free consultation. We listen to your
ideas,
evaluate your needs and budget, and answer questions regarding our company and
its methods of operation. We encourage you to look at similar
projects we have completed , and talk to our clients. Follow-up phone calls to clarify any issues are
included in this step. Together we decide to proceed to the next step in the
process which is:
Design
This step is where the design/build process
really begins . We charge a $750 planning deposit for this service, and when you
put that deposit down, you are hiring us to be your builder.
Our in house designs are created by
American Institute of Building Design( AIBD) registered
designer
Shelly Gustin. Shelly will use the information gathered in the preliminary
meetings and work closely with you to develop full working drawings for your
project. But the design element doesn't stop with drawings. Shelly will be at
your side throughout the project, making changes as necessary to fit your vision
and budget.
During this process, we will introduce
you to our "building science" approach to design and construction. These
principles ensure that your home is not only Beautiful, but durable, energy
efficient, and healthy to live in.
The $750 planning deposit is non-refundable if you choose not to build the home,
and is applicable to the purchase price if you complete the project with us. We
own the plans and specifications that we create in this process and they are not
available for another builder's use.
Of course, if you already have an architect
we will work with them to refine the plans they have developed, adding our design
services as needed.
Pricing
Using the plans and specifications we have developed, we will
work with our sub contractors and suppliers to develop a firm package price for
your project. If you have sub-contractors you would prefer to
use, we can work with them. This process usually takes about two weeks. If
the project bid doesn't fit your budget, we will work with you to
re-design the project at no additional charge. When the final design and
budget have been resolved, a contract will be issued, we move on to
construction.
Construction
Throughout the building
process, a project team consisting of the builder, designer, project manager and
our skilled tradesmen will be hard at work for you. You are an important
part of the effort, after all its your home, your vision. We welcome your
input and ideas throughout the project. Our goal is to make you as
comfortable with the process as you will be in the finished product.
Follow Through
We offer a "bumper to bumper" warranty on
your project for one year. Any problems will be resolved quickly and
professionally. Beyond this warranty period, many individual products and
sub-contractor services carry extended warranties. We will be happy to
facilitate any warranty claims that occur. We stand behind our
product, our reputation depends on it.
